The In the Mood Duo is touring a program of music that pays homage to one of the most distinctive voices of the century. They have performed for sold-out audiences in Vancouver, Victoria, and Calgary. The late, great Tony Bennett, one of the most masterful interpreters of the Great American Songbook, had an amazing knack for selecting songs with beautiful melodies and lyrics that tug at the heartstrings, reminding us of our humanity and capacity for love. In the Mood Duo will offer up vocal and instrumental renditions of such classics as I Left My Heart in San Francisco, Cheek to Cheek, The Good Life, Don’t Get Around Much Anymore, The Shadow of Your Smile, The Nearness of You, and many more from Tony Bennett’s more than 70 albums. Pianist Ray Gallon has been a mainstay on the NYC jazz scene for over 35 years. With two lauded albums out, Angela Verbrugge has toured her music to Japan, Germany, the UK and Luxembourg. Her work has been praised by reviews and features in JazzTimes, JazzWise, JAZZIZ, JazzLives, Couleurs Jazz France, Los Angeles Jazz Journal, Jersey Jazz, WholeNote and many others.

"Miss Verbrugge addresses each song with the breathtakingly, absolutely natural and unaffected purity of her voice, heard in every lovingly caressed phrase.
