Frankie's Jazz: Neil Swainson, Bernie Senensky and Joel Fountain

Frankie's Jazz Club, 755 Beatty Street, Vancouver, BC

A special night not to be missed! Two Torontonians... six-time Juno award winner and famous jazz bassist Neil Swainson and Canadian Jazz Pianist of the Year known for his work with a virtual who's who of jazz over his long career, Bernie Senensky will be in Vancouver! They will join jazz vocalist Angela Verbrugge and the multi-talented Vancouver drummer Joel Fountain (who originally hails from New Zealand) for a very special performance. Angela is known for her interpretation of lesser performed jazz standards and original lyrics paired to the melodies of some of NYC's finest beboppers.

Angela Verbrugge received the 2020 JazzTimes Readers’ poll award for female jazz vocalist. JazzWeekly describes the former actress as “fun and quirky, hip and a hoot, wispy and romantic; she slithers and oozes, and cleverly swings.” Tony Genge- piano John Lee - bass Joel Fountain - drums
